Most weeks, Scouts meet with other kids in their grade-level den. Dens work through age-appropriate Adventures, learn new skills, play games, get outside, and build the friendships that make a big Pack feel small.

Pack 620 is a family-centered Cub Scout pack in Hendersonville for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Scouts grow with their grade-level den, then come together for campouts, Pinewood Derby, service, outdoor adventures, and Pack traditions.
How Pack 620 works
Den first. Pack together. Family always.
Cub Scouting works in layers. Your Scout belongs to a small grade-level den that meets regularly for age-appropriate Adventures. Throughout the year, those dens come together as Pack 620 for bigger events, traditions, service, and outdoor adventures. Families are part of the experience from the beginning.

Throughout the year, all of our dens come together for bigger experiences: Pack meetings, campouts, Pinewood Derby, service projects, ceremonies, outdoor events, and council adventures.

Cub Scouting is family-centered. Parents and guardians are part of the experience, whether that means cheering at Pinewood Derby, sharing a campsite, helping with an activity, or simply watching their Scout try something new.
Why Cub Scouting?
Adventure is the method. Growth is the goal.
Cub Scouting is a hands-on youth-development program. The activities are the vehicle: Scouts practice confidence, responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving, service, and good judgment by actually doing things together.

Learn by doing
Scouts build, hike, serve, explore, play, and solve problems. Confidence grows through experience, not lectures.

What does a Cub Scout year actually look like?
How dens work
Growing one trail marker at a time.
Cub Scouts are grouped by school grade, so a Scout’s den level grows with them each year. Each level has age-appropriate Adventures, skills, and experiences.

Advancement is personal, not competitive.
Scouts work through Adventures during the program year at a pace that fits their den and family. Grade determines den level; completing the rank requirements earns that year’s rank.
What is an Adventure?
Adventures are the hands-on building blocks of Cub Scout advancement. Each den level has required and elective Adventures built around things like outdoors, fitness, citizenship, safety, personal growth, and practical skills.

Leads Pack meetings, ceremonies, and big Pack activities while helping Scouts and families feel welcome and connected.
